Geography
Ferrarelle comes from the Assano Valley, 160km south east of Rome, in the heart of Italy. Also known as the 'Valley of the Springs', it is located next to the village of Riardo, in the shadow of an extinct volcano named Roccamonfina.

History
Riardo was a popular spa and the water's reputation was already well established in Roman times. In 1893, as a result of an increasing demand, Ferrarelle became one of the first mineral waters to be bottled on an industrial scale. Ferrarelle has continued to expand ever since. Today, Ferrarelle is the number one natural sparkling mineral water brand in Italy.
